Greetings from the North face of El Torcal range of Mountains. We wish to encourage you to visit this beautiful, highly energetic and peaceful area, just 45 minutes away from Malaga Airport in Southern Spain. Please feel free to explore our website, images and videos showing glimpses of what can be felt and explored in this region, home of the incredible Torcal karstic rock formations, and land of one of the biggest megalythic structures in Europe: The dolmens of Menga, Viera and El Romeral in Antequera. The name is said to stem from the romans and means Antique area.
For the last four years we have been personally refurbishing one of the oldest cortijos existing in this valley, El Cortijo Las Animas, from which, according to the local tradition, the moors departed using tunnels to take by surprise and invade the local town of Antikaria.
We have done our best to respect the natural atmosphere of El Cortijo listening to what the walls and stones of this place have whispered to us, to recreate in this old building the most natural and welcoming home.
We hope you enjoy visiting us and spending some time in one of our studios, specially designed for a quiet and peaceful holiday or to accomodate students attending our different courses, reunions and lectures.
